Accounting & Tax Teamleader
Objective:
The Group Accounting & Tax Leader is responsible for managing, controlling, and standardizing all accounting and tax activities at Group level, ensuring:
– Accurate and transparent accounting records in compliance with VAS and IFRS
– Timely and reliable monthly consolidated financial statements
– Effective control and continuous improvement of tax risks across the Group
– Strong technical support and capability building for accounting teams at both Group and hospital levels
– Active participation in accounting system automation and digitalization projects
Responsibilities:
1. Group & Subsidiary Accounting
– Perform and review accounting entries and accounting records of 06 Group companies, including:04 Holding companies and 02 operating companies (mainly management fee, marketing expenses, and internal service charges)
– Ensure proper, consistent, and VAS-compliant recording of intercompany transactions.
– Control allocation and cost-sharing mechanisms for management fees, marketing costs, and shared services across the Group.
2. Financial Consolidation
– Prepare and review monthly consolidated financial statements under VAS.
– Prepare and review the IFRS report and working with external audit by year end
– Oversee:
a. Intercompany elimination
b. Consistency of accounting policies across entities
c. Material consolidation adjustments
3. Hospital Accounting Review
– Review hospital accounting records after monthly closing to ensure:
– No material misstatements
– Proper recognition of healthcare revenues, medical supplies, services, and related costs
– Act as the second line of control for hospital accounting quality and compliance.
4. Group Tax Management
– Conduct annual tax reviews at Group level
– Coordinate with tax advisors (if applicable) to:
a. Assess tax risks and exposures
b. Develop and implement tax improvement plans
– Oversee key tax areas including VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and related compliance matters
5. Systems, Automation & Process Improvement
– Act as a key participant / key user in accounting system implementation, automation, and enhancement projects
– Contribute to:
a. Standardization of chart of accounts
b. Closing, consolidation, and reporting processes
c. Strengthening system-based internal controls
6. Team Leadership & Capability Development
– Provide training, coaching, and technical support to Group & Hospital accounting team.
– Standardize accounting treatments and enhance understanding
Experiences & Knowledges:
– 06 years of experience in Accounting, or Audit experience of Big 4
– Solid knowledge of VAS, IFRS and Vietnamese tax regulations
– Strong analytical and review skills with attention to material risks
– Systematic thinking and control-oriented mindset
– Ability to work effectively with multiple entities and stakeholders
– Continuous improvement mindset and strong interest in system automation.
– Proven capability to train, guide, and uplift accounting teams
– Strong preference for experience in healthcare, hospital chains, FMCG or multi-entity group structures
